Proud Home of the NYC Public Schools AIMS Program

At our school, we believe every child possesses unique strengths and deserves an inclusive, supportive environment where they can thrive. We are proud to serve as a home for the NYC Department of Education AIMS Program—a specialized early childhood initiative dedicated to providing high-quality, tailored education to our youngest learners with autism.

About the AIMS Program

AIMS stands for Acquisition, Integrated Services, Meaningful Communication, and Social Skills. Offered in select NYC public school settings for students in Pre-Kindergarten through 2nd Grade, the program provides a warm, small-class setting designed to build foundational skills during crucial early learning years.

Key Features of the AIMS Classroom:

Small Class Sizes & High Support

Each classroom features a small group of learners led co-jointly by a specialized Special Education Teacher, a Speech-Language Provider, and a Classroom Paraprofessional.

Evidence-Based Instruction

Teaching is anchored in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behavior (VB) techniques, which use positive, structured, and visually supported approaches to expand functional language, communication, and learning readiness.

Social & Behavioral Development

Lessons are personalized using the ABLLS (Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills) curriculum to foster independence, play skills, self-advocacy, and meaningful social connections.

Expert Collaboration

A Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) partners directly with teachers, service providers, and families to support continuous progress across school and home environments.
